It seemed expensive, but actually when you include camping, tents, sleeping bags and two days of guiding it is a pretty good deal and it was worth every penny. Although we slept in a tent we had everything like we were in a 5 star hotel, fresh food for breakfast and amazing dinners in the even more amazing setup of AAC camp in Gunks.
In terms of climbing Paul focused on us learning how to place gear and setup anchors so we can comfortably lead easy multi-pitch routs after we leave camp. After some training we did Horseman (5.6) on a day one and Mary (also 5.6) on a second day. I lead first pitch of Mary which was my first trad lead ever and was little bit scared but so happy after I’ve done it.
